The City of Huntsville invites members of the public to review and offer comments on its draft 2025-2029 Consolidated Plan, 2025 Annual Action Plan, and Citizen Participation Plan. The Consolidated Plan and Annual Action Plan identify the city’s community development and affordable housing needs and set priorities for investment of federal grant funds to address them. These plans are required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the City to receive HUD entitlement grants. For the upcoming program year (PY) beginning on July 1, 2025, the City will receive $1,400,900 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds and $708,667.65 in HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) funds. The City has an additional $285,944 in CDBG funds and $834,158.09 in HOME funds for use in PY 2025 through program income and prior year funds.
