CULLMAN, Ala. — Anglers from across Alabama and beyond are expected to cast their lines toward Cullman this weekend as the Ultimate Fishing Expo arrives, billing itself as the largest fishing expo in Alabama history.
The three-day event runs Friday through Sunday, Jan. 16–18, at the Cullman OmniPlex, featuring more than 200 fishing-related companies, hands-on demonstrations, educational seminars, and a bass boat giveaway.
Organizers say the expo will showcase “the most fishing equipment ever assembled under one roof in Alabama,” offering something for seasoned anglers, weekend hobbyists, and families alike.
Tickets are $15 for adults, $8 for veterans and seniors, with two-day passes available for $25 and three-day passes for $30. Children 12 and younger are admitted free with the donation of a canned food item, which will benefit Cullman Caring for Kids.
In addition to vendor exhibits, the expo will include hourly seminars covering a wide range of fishing topics, including Rigging for Trophy Catfish, Thinking Small to Catch Big Crappie, and Understanding Sonar. The event also features free activities for children and a variety of food vendors throughout the weekend.
All ticketholders will be entered into a raffle hosted by Sylacauga Marine & ATV, with the grand prize being a Ranger RT188P bass boat.
Event hours are noon to 7 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
Organizers say the expo is designed not only to celebrate Alabama’s strong fishing culture but also to support local families and encourage outdoor recreation.
