HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (Sept. 17, 2025) — Huntsville Hospital Health System (HH Health) has once again been honored on Forbes’ 2025 America’s Best-in-State Employers list, reinforcing its reputation for strong workplace culture, employee support, and dedication to career growth.
This marks the second consecutive year that HH Health has made the list, following its placements in 2024 and 2022. Out of more than 160,000 employees surveyed nationwide by Forbes in partnership with Statista, HH Health was one of only two companies headquartered in North Alabama to be recognized in the 2025 rankings.
Jeff Samz, President and CEO of Huntsville Hospital Health System, said the recognition is “especially meaningful because it reflects what our team says about working here.” He emphasized that HH Health sees its workforce as central to its mission: excellent, compassionate care. Jennifer Holly, Vice President of Human Resources, added that the system remains committed to strengthening programs around career pathways, well-being, and belonging across all its hospitals.
HH Health operates across 14 hospitals and employs more than 19,500 people. Key factors contributing to recognition include organizational growth opportunities, responsive management, and an environment that supports employees. Forbes’ evaluation took into account employee feedback, both current and former, as well as peer input, giving extra weight to recent responses from in-state employees.
Eighteen Alabama-based businesses made the Forbes 2025 America’s Best-in-State Employers list, placing HH Health among distinguished companies.
For HH Health, the honor is more than just recognition: it is a signal that its efforts to cultivate a strong workplace culture are succeeding. As the health system continues to expand services and facilities in the Tennessee Valley, maintaining employee satisfaction and engagement appears central to its growth strategy.
