An undercover sting led by the Blount County Sheriff’s Office and the West Alabama Human Trafficking Task Force resulted in the arrest of six men on charges of human trafficking, electronic solicitation, and traveling to meet a child for sexual purposes. The arrests followed targeted operations where suspects engaged with undercover agents posing online as minors.
The six individuals—Christopher Thompson, Caleb Marsh, Everado Aleantra, Jamie Underwood, Cameron Johnson, and Anthony Anyakwo—were arrested after they responded to online solicitations and appeared at prearranged locations believing they would meet a minor. No actual children were involved in the operation.
Blount County officials noted the sting operation ran over weeks, targeting individuals who sought illicit encounters with a minor for payment. Upon arrival, each suspect was taken into custody and charged accordingly.
Investigators emphasized that such operations aim to deter online child exploitation by removing offenders from the community and sending a clear message: those who attempt to exploit minors will face serious legal consequences.
All suspects currently remain in local custody as the investigation continues. Prosecutors indicate additional charges or arrests are possible as more evidence is reviewed.
