NEWS RELEASE

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – No kid wants to spend the holidays in the hospital. Huntsville City FC and Huntsville Hospital Foundation are partnering to ensure every Pediatrics patient at HuntsvilleHospital for Women & Children can receive a special toy this holiday season, and they need our community’s help.
Help give joy through a toy at the community drive-through toy drive on Saturday, Dec. 9, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Wicks Family Field at Joe Davis Stadium (3125 Don Mincher Dr SW, Huntsville). Every donation will be given to Pediatrics patients – from babies to teenagers – this December, and will help stock the hospital’s playrooms to provide distraction and fun for kids while they are hospitalized.
“This is a great opportunity to shop with your children and family, and bring happiness to sick kids who can’t be at home with their families this Christmas,” said Chris Hendley, community events manager for Huntsville Hospital Foundation. “Our HHW&C Child Life team goes above and beyond to spread cheer throughout the hospital halls, and they need your help! Every toy and donation will make the holidays brighter for these local children.”
“In this season of giving, we’re excited to help give back with the Huntsville Hospital Toy Drive,” said HCFC Managing Director of Business Operations Chad Emerson. “This event will help kids who can’t be home this year have a happy holiday season. We look forward to seeing everyone come by Wicks Family Field at Joe Davis Stadium on Dec. 9 with donations for the toy drive.”
All toy donations must be brand new and unwrapped. Top needs include games, craft supplies, puzzles, board books and more. View the hospital’s full toy wish list at www.huntsvillehospitalfoundation.org/ways-to-give/toy-drive.
