Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church, where the pastor is Rev. Larry Davidson, Jr., presented its “Storm Survivors” program on Wednesday, August 31, 2022. The guest minister for the occasion was Pastor Dion Watkins from Progressive Union M.B. Church.
The service began with Devotion by Deacon Willie Smith, and the congregation sang the old melodic hymn, “Hold My Hand, Walk with Me, Lord.” Afterward, First Lady Sophia Davidson gave a spirited Welcome.
Pastor Dion Watkins gave a powerful message based upon the scripture, 2 Timothy 4: 16-18. His sermon title was “God Faithfulness in The Storm.” His powerful, Word-based message encouraged the congregation that God would deliver them from any storms in their life. We, as the saints, must trust God for everything; hallelujah!”
Both churches, Hopewell M.B. Church and Progressive Union M.B. Church were truly blessed.
