Arts Huntsville and Huntsville Parks & Recreation Announce 2021 Concerts in the Park Lineup

– Free Concerts, Local Food Trucks Every Monday June 7 through August 9 –

Huntsville, AL – Arts Huntsville and the City of Huntsville Department of Parks and Recreation’s 2021 Concerts in the Park season returns on Monday, June 7. A Huntsville summer tradition, the concerts will be held over ten weeks every Monday evening through August 9. The series showcases local musical talent in a mix of genres from rock, folk, and country to Latin, dance, R&B and today’s hits. The Concerts will take place in downtown Huntsville on the Huntsville Museum of Art outdoor stage in Big Spring International Park from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. The series is FREE to the public; concertgoers should bring their own seating and leashed pets are welcome.

Picnics are encouraged at the Concerts, and local food trucks and vendors will be onsite offering a diverse array of local tastes. Food trucks will be along Williams Avenue and Church Street with additional offerings in the park. The menus include plant-based Southern comfort foods from Hippea Camper, all-beef hotdogs and treats from Golden Years Ice Cream Parlor & Diner, yummy beignets from Happi Pappi, gourmet popcorn and lemonade from Yum Yum’s Gourmet Popcorn & Lemonade Stand, BBQ from O Taste & See BBQ, gourmet macaroni and cheese from Mac & Snacks, mega-burgers from The Piled High Grill, flavorful shaved ice from Iceworks, specialty iced teas from Piper & Leaf Tea Company and handmade fruit popsicles from Suzy’s Pops.

Concerts in the Park is a co-production of the City of Huntsville Parks and Recreation Department and Arts Huntsville. This year’s concerts are presented with the support of Progress Bank, Randolph School and Thrive Alabama. The concert lineup features many local performance groups:

Concerts in the Park is a summer tradition in Huntsville that has been missed over the last year,” said Bernita Reese, director of City of Huntsville Parks & Recreation Department. “We look forward to welcoming everyone back to Big Spring Park to enjoy this great concert series showcasing local music and our park.”

The June 28 concert is part of Huntsville’s Armed Forces Week celebrations. Arts Huntsville and the City of Huntsville are proud to present the MCoE Band from Fort Benning, Ga., with service history dating back to 1916. The evening will end with a downtown fireworks display.
