A man is in jail and his 14-year-old daughter was hospitalized following an incident Monday night, according to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.
Christopher Andrighetti, 39, is being held without bond in the Franklin County Jail on charges of first degree domestic violence, child abuse and second degree domestic violence, according to jail records.
WHNT is reporting that Andrighetti was arrested Monday at Town and Country Trailer Park outside Russellville after his daughter ran to a neighbor’s house for help while injured.
Deputies were called there and found Andrighetti hiding in a bedroom closet, covered in blood from wounds to his arms and waist. They also found another child in a closet.
At the scene, they saw broken beer bottles outside, smashed articles, a broken Nintendo Switch as well as blood. Inside, they discovered a shattered TV, crushed laptops, and articles in disarray.
The station reported that, according to deputies, the teenage daughter said she had revealed to her mother that Andrighetti had a social media account and suspected he was having an affair.
The father began punching her and threw several items at her. When he told her to clean up the mess, she discovered the door was open and fled.
