‘ARMED AND DANGEROUS’ MAN WANTED AFTER 2 DEAD IN HUNTSVILLE, DECATUR ROBBERIES

Ricardo S. Bass, 40, of Huntsville, has a capital murder warrant for his arrest.

Law enforcement agencies in north Alabama say they are looking for a man on capital murder charges stemming from two robberies that resulted in deaths this morning in Huntsville and Decatur.

Ricardo S. Bass, 40, of Huntsville, already has a capital murder warrant for his arrest from Decatur, while Huntsville police are seeking a capital murder warrant. Huntsville police said officers were dispatched to the 3600 block of McVay Street around 5:50 a.m. today. Jeffrey Carden, 31, of Huntsville, was discovered dead at the scene from a fatal gunshot wound, police said.

Then, at 6:20 a.m., Decatur police were called to the scene of a robbery at the Wavaho station, 707 Wilson St. N.W. Mark Allen Nicholson died there from gunshot wounds.

Bass is described as a Black male, standing 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing about 215 lbs., with brown eyes and black hair.
